Reading Task.

Reading Task.

Choose one character in this story.
Think about what the character was like at the beginning of the story.
Write about how the character has changed by the end of the story.
What events led up to the changes of the character?

I've chosen a character from Dick King-Smith story called "The Sheep-Pig" - it is the pig Babe.
On the first times, at the farm, when farmer just bought him and took to the box he was "a little stupid" - as sheepdog Fly said. After he met sheepdog Fly his life and he changed alot. Babe perceives Fly as his mum.
With her help he learns that he can be anything that he wants to be. Next when Fly's young dogs leaved her, Babe and Fly is started to be a good friends. Babe realises that he has makings to become the greatest sheep pig of all time, and farmer knows that. After being on farm for a long time he starts to understand people. He is learning all about sheep-dog profession very very fast.
So mi idea is that at the beginning of the story Babe was "...a little pig who doesn't know his place in the world" and in the end of story he is the greatest pig. I think all the events led up Babe to this high - friendship with sheepdog Fly, meeting with sheep Ma and other sheeps in the farm. Of course, if farmer wouldn't buy pig - Babe would be a typical pig.

Summery and questions.

Summery

I have read 4 chapters from Dick King-Smith book "Sheep-pig".
Mr Hogget bought a pig. It was 14 kilos heavy. On the farm pig met sheepdog Fly and her young dogs.
Fly though that all animal except dogs are stupid. Fly gave name to pig - Babe. Babe and Fly were friends, and they slept together in one box. Fly said to pig "You mustn't go into Mrs Hogget's kitchen. I can go in, but you must wait outside". Dogs knew, that Mrs Hogget is going to take pig to make a christmas dinner. Fly's young dogs left her and went to work in other villages, but fly was happy because she had Babe. One day Fly showed to Babe all farm and taught how to be a sheepdog. Soon Babe met ill sheep Ma.
